About Us
Founded in 2014 by Toby and Alix Gadd, Nuance Chocolate grew from a kitchen hobby into one of the few true bean-to-bar makers in the U.S. Today, we craft our chocolate in a small factory blocks from our Old Town café, offering the world's largest selection of single-origin dark chocolate.

When it was time to pass the torch, high-school sweethearts Tyler and Megan jumped at the chance. Tyler spent ten years in the Navy as a nuclear operator and plant supervisor, bringing his technical prowess and an engineering mindset to the meticulous craft of chocolate making. Megan brings a wealth of experience in specialty coffee and creative hospitality.
